The automotive world is buzzing as the brand new Hongqi H7 prepares for its official market launch on September 16. Previously opened for pre-orders, the official pricing ranges from 191,800 to 231,800 yuan, with a special launch sincerity price starting at 181,800 yuan (approx. 25,971 USD) up to 221,800 yuan (approx. 31,685 USD). Positioned as a medium-large sedan, the Hongqi H7 has completely shifted from a traditional fuel vehicle to a plug-in hybrid, adopting the brand new new-energy design language.
Exterior And Dimensions
The exterior of the Hongqi H7 adopts a distinctive family styling featuring a closed front grille with vertical waterfalls and narrow LED headlights. The side profile showcases semi-hidden door handles and multi-spoke wheels, while the rear features unique taillights with the brand lettering embedded. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5060 mm in length, 1910 mm in width, and 1480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2970 mm, ensuring a commanding presence on the road.

Inside the cabin, the Hongqi H7 offers a wraparound cockpit layout integrated with a 30-inch HUD, an 8.88-inch full LCD instrument cluster, and a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central screen. Powered by the 8295P flagship chip, it supports advanced connectivity and AI systems. Comfort features include heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, a built-in refrigerator, and an 18-speaker BOSE audio system delivering a truly immersive acoustic experience.

Performance-wise, the Hongqi H7 is equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system across all variants. The two-wheel-drive version delivers a maximum power of 278 kW, while the four-wheel-drive version reaches 479 kW, paired with 23.9 kWh and 30.3 kWh battery packs respectively. Pure electric range reaches up to 180 km, 210 km, and 240 km depending on the version. With a full tank and charge, the maximum comprehensive range stretches up to an astonishing 1954 km, backed by a robust chassis with CDC variable damping suspension.
