Recent industrial filings reveal that this flagship SUV has undergone a comprehensive overhaul covering its exterior, dimensions, powertrain, and driver assistance systems. As a reference point, the outgoing version of the Hongqi HS7 PHEV is priced between 290,800 and 345,800 yuan (approximately $41,542 to $49,400 USD).
Exterior Refinements and Expanded Dimensions
Visual updates on the new Hongqi HS7 PHEV include a striking multi-bar front grille and fresh design details that enhance its road presence. Most notably, the roof now incorporates a lidar sensor, while the side fenders feature additional cameras to vastly improve intelligent driving capabilities. To attract younger buyers, the manufacturer has introduced two fresh exterior colors: a vibrant purple and a distinct green. In terms of physical proportions, the new Hongqi HS7 PHEV measures 5045 mm in length, 1970 mm in width, and 1780 mm in height, riding on a generous 2950 mm wheelbase, which is noticeably larger than its predecessor. Moreover, the exterior styling is complemented by redesigned mirrors and massive 21-inch wheels with optional aero-disc designs.

Under the hood, the new Hongqi HS7 PHEV continues to rely on a robust plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with electric motors. The internal combustion engine now delivers an increased maximum power output of 130 kW. Energy storage has also seen a massive leap forward, utilizing high-density ternary lithium batteries supplied by CATL with capacities of 39.5 kWh and 53 kWh. Depending on the exact configuration, these battery packs enable pure electric driving ranges of 186 km, 192 km, or 238 km. Inside the cabin, buyers can still configure the vehicle with either a spacious 6-seat or 7-seat layout to suit family needs.
